Bob and Flo were my neighbors in Alliston Ontario after Bobs retirement. Bob was a great guy. I was able to get to know Bob and Flo before they unfortunately moved away. I found out not long ago that Bob was my third cousin. His great grandparents were Mary Ann (nee Bowden) and John Ridge. They were my great great grandparents. Small world. My wife and I lived next door to Bob and Flo and never knew we were related. My condolences to Flo and family. Bill Jenkins

I am so sorry this is so late after "Dr.Bobs"passing. He was my whole familý's physician when growing up in Mt Hope and delivered our daughter 39 years ago. He was a wonderful gentle person and very caring also coming for home visits when i really needed him .. I had often thought about our "Dr. Bob"over the years everyvtime I drove on Hwy 6 passing the house/office. I am truly sorry for the loss of your husband, father,grandfather and brother. I just noticed the posting of memorial service date in the elevator while dropping my Mom back at Heritage Green Nursing home and I was so sad to see the name Robert Ridge posted as one of the residents that passed and wondering if this was him. I would like to express my condolences to Flo and the family. Dr. Bob was our family doctor for years - always available for a last minute appointment or even a house call. It was so sad to hear of Bob's passing and he was such a part of the Mount Hope community. I'm sure your family is used to hearing "Bob delivered me". Apparently Bob delivered me after my mom was out at a dance - that explains a lot! Sending you best wishes during this difficult time. I'm am sorry to have missed Bob's memorial, as I live in Calgary and was not able to bring condolences in person. Warm regards, Carol Armes

To all of the family members, Dr. Bob was a wonderful family doctor to our family for many years in Mount Hope. It was a privilege to have him at Heritage Green Nursing Home (where I work) for his last days, even though his stay with us was not long. God be with all of you in your time of loss. To the Ridge family We are so sorry to hear about you loss. I first met Bob when Sandi got engaged to Robert and my first impression of him was what a kind and compassionate man. Bob was a wonderful and supportive husband, father and grandfather. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Dr. Bob. Growing up in the Mount Hope area, I have many good memories of the Ridges. The 'older' folks went to see Dr. Ridge. We 'younger' folks went to see Dr. Bob and Dr. Jack. They sure don't make them like that any more.

Bob was one of the Ridge cousins that was just a few years older and in addition to passing down clothes, he was me" guide" when I visited Mount Hope on my summer holidays as a young boy. I am sure that he wasn't thrilled to have me tag along but other than tie me up to a tree, he never expressed any distress. A good friend, a great, compassionate doctor, he will be missed by the family and the community.

Our Dr.Ridge was one in a million! He was such a kind caring man with a good sense of humor and a wicked "sweet tooth!".....l have such wonderful memories of him as my children's doctor, as my neighbor, as my friend!....l loved him dearly!!!!!!!
