Obituary of Ross Alan Garry

GARRY, Ross Alan August 15, 1933 – February 5, 2017 It is with profound sadness, we are announcing today, the loss of a dear family member. Ross leaves two sons John-Joseph Garry and Deanna Beaudry and her son Mason of Hamilton, Ontario, Thomas Charles Garry, his wife Sarah and their two beautiful children Johnathon and Kimberly of Grimsby, Ontario. He will be missed by his sister Joan Staines of Stoney Creek and dear friend Janet Garry. Ross attended Saltfleet high school and worked in the hardware business locally for over 50 years. He loved all sports, especially baseball and played for Quigley’s in the 50’s. He was umpire for Stoney Creek Little League for many years and served as Umpire and Chief. It was at this time he was awarded the Sportsman of the year award. Ross was often seen on the streets of Stoney Creek with Daisy (his golden retriever) as she took him on his daily walks. As per Ross’ wish, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
