Obituary of Sylvia Smith

SMITH, Sylvia (nee Horvath) Passed away suddenly at her residence on Friday, February 3, 2017 in her 60th year. Beloved wife of Jim for 37 years. Sylvia was a cherished mother to Courtney (Jim) and Meaghan (John). Proud nanny to Reilly, Chloe, Jordyn, Carter, Owen, Olivia, Brice, and two more on the way. Sylvia is survived by her mother Szilvia Pazzi (the late Peter Pazzi) and is predeceased by her father Gyula Horvath. Cherished sister to Jerry (Mira), Larry, Andria and Peter. Sylvia will also be missed by many other nieces, nephews, extended Smith family members, GHL hockey friends, and her Elvis Tribute Circle, with whom she shared many great memories. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
