Obituary of Rosalie Strinich

STRINICH, Rosalie Peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Ilija Strinich. Cherished mother of Peter (Marilyn), Millie Kiely (Wayne), Marie Fogarty (Carl), and Stephanie Reid. Loving Grandmother of Natalie Kachmarsky (Courtney), Tara Scime (Aaron), Erica Hemsworth (Dan), Jason Strinich (Carla), Graham and Derek Reid. Loving Oma of Elise, Oliver, Avery, Veronica, Nicholas and Isabel. Rose will also be missed by her brother Richard Reining (Ruth) of Dundas and many family and friends in Germany and Serbia. Rose was an active member of the PTA at Adelaide Hoodless Public School. She was involved with Girl Guides of Canada and was a cook at Camp Kiawa for many years. Rose also volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and received her 30 year pin. Rose was also a long standing member of the Germania Club. Special thanks to the Dr’s and staff at St. Joseph’s hospital for their wonderful care. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
