I had the absolute honour and joy of knowing Doris Merritt-Montgomery, through my friendship with her daughter Wendy Veldman.( Wendy and I became best friends after meeting at work at Chedoke McMaster in 1997). I was always welcome at their home/farm,and loved meeting all the family and spending time there. Doris Merritt looked like Elizabeth Taylor, had a laugh that was so infectious, dressed so stylishly( looked great in red) and made the best pie EVER!!! Doris Merritt was such a beautiful person inside and out, caring, loving, and always so welcoming. Wendy and I will toast her on the beach in Southampton again this year ! Thank-you for all my fabulous memories, you will be missed but never forgotten. In my heart. Donna Nolan-Bickerton. Windsor On.
