To my dearest Auntie Joan
Although in later life we did not keep in touch, I have only just seen the news of your sad passing and I feel incredibly overwhelmed by it.
As a child I adored you and Uncle George and could not have enjoyed your company more. I spent many happy holidays with you in Canada............I have such fond memories as do my parents.
Although our time on this planet is short and we have to depart at our allotted moment, this does not erase the imprint on others lives that we leave behind us and you made a huge impression on me and many others.
Your laughter, ability to liven any dull moment and lust for life were unending.
So here's to you 'Joanie' a very special lady who I feel sure has introduced a sparkle to heaven.
With Love
Julie.

My Dearest Joanie:after my mom died you quickly took over the role of mother to me, and Leslie was kind enough to share. Thank you for that. I think of all the wonderful memories we shared, and the giggles, I still feel you by my side. The green grasshopper martini's, the dinner parties, Florida, the boat, our Jammie parties, shopping, I could go on for ever with the memories we shared. We shared way to many "sht's and giggles", mushy pees and truffle at Christmas! You giving Les and I "H" when we deserved it, and giving us encourgement when we needed it. Joanie I made you a promise a few weeks back, we pinky swore, see some things never change. My heart aches for you but I'm happy you are in no more pain. Lucy there will be a special place for you in heaven - Les you have shown such courage over these past few months - such love and care to both Steve and your mom. (I knew you could do it Lucy.) I loved your mom like she was my own, thanks for sharing such a great lady, may she R.I.P.
Loving you and her always
