Obituary of Stan Dorey

DOREY, Stan Peacefully, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 13, 2016, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Beverley Dorey (Barlow). Loving father of Dan (Elaine), Rick (Josiena De Hann). Predeceased by his daughter Nancy Harris. Loved grandfather of Erin Clarke (Dean), Brenda Dorey (Cam Rowe), Jay (Anne), Chris Harris (Erica), Jeff (Krysia), Kimberley Gatten (Colin), Riley and great-grandchildren Evelyn, Marie, Taylor, Addy, Grady, George, and Clara. Survived by his son-in-law Randy Harris. Dear brother of Merle Linden (Harry) and the late Gordon and Norma. Stan served his Lord in the roles of board member of Garside Bible Church, Park Bible Church and CAM International, Chairman of Fair Havens Bible Conference, Business Manager to Associated Gospel Churches, Alumni and supporter of Briercrest Bible Institute. Stan was retired 28 years from National Steel Car. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private Family Interment. Memorial Service will be held at Garside Bible Church 47 Garside Ave. N., Hamilton on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. In Stan’s memory, donations to charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
