The Forbes Family wish to extend our deepest sympathies of the loss of your mother. Kathie was a very special lady to say the least, she has helped so many people selflessly including my mother when she worked at CCAC... Kathie did a lot to move my mothers care in the right direction quickly. Kathie and I were in training together at McNally House Hospice, and to say the least she was a hoot to have as a friend and classmate!! Remembering Kathie is easy, as she is a beautiful person, and beautiful people remain in your heart always. In our thoughts and prayers. I am sorry to miss the visitation as I am not well. I am so very, very sorry to hear this sad news. Jenny and Chris- your Mum, as I remember was always spunky, pretty fast moving when she was on a walk, had a wonderful dry sense of humour.and an inquiring mind. We used to have great conversations when I happened to bump into her walking the dog in the neighbourhood. She took the time and probably her walk was that much longer because of it! Always thoughtful in her inquiries about Emma, Ben and Peter. Kind and fun. Thinking about you and your family at this very tough time.

I have worked with & known Kathie since 1984. We have shared good times & challenging times together. Kathie will be greatly missed by her friends/colleagues & family. I will always remember her awesome sense of humour, her smile & that laugh! Kathie told me when she retired it was the relationships that she treasured most she will be missed by all. My thoughts are with her children & family at this very sad time. May you find peace & comfort in your memories. Liz Mann

There are no words to express the sorrow in my heart with the passing of your Mom. I am honoured to have known her and of having the pleasure of working beside her at Hospice. Kathie taught me oh so much about always being positive, her compassion, empathy was worn on her label. We were able to share good times as well as bad but in the end we could laugh just remembering what is truly important in this life. Your Mom will be thought of by me for her courage, grace and dignity. May you both find peace knowing how lucky we all were to have such a role model bless our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So, so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Kathy for a couple of years in the Niagara branch, both in the hospital & in the office. She was very positive & upbeat. Kathy always looked forward to her vacation time, probably because she worked so hard. It was a pleasure knowing her. Treasure your memories.

It was an such a pleasure to get to know Kathie over the last few years. She was a wonderful, dedicated and compassionate volunteer with us at McNally House (since 2012). I was a Case Manager at SJH with Kathie, she was one of the more senior Case managers in the Group, I had a lot of respect for this group, they taught me how to BE a Case Manager, not to look at the situation superficially, she encouraged me to take the time to do the job well. She reviewed lots of harder cases with me giving me guidance and expertise, she always made the time for the newer Case Manager teaching me a style I still use today, it was not just about the paperwork it was about making a difference in the lives of our clients. I enjoyed my years working along side her Sometimes on coffee breaks in the cafeteria she gave me guidance in my personal life too. An excellent Case Manger, we lost touch the last few years due to my job changes. I just wanted her family to know she was well respected by other Case Mangers and a wonderful role model at work. God Bless my deepest condolences.
