Obituary of Oswald Jahns

JAHNS, Oswald February 4, 1927-October 24, 2016 “Together Again” It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our father and Opi, Oswald Jahns, in his 90th year. Predeceased by the love of his life, Ann Jahns (January 2016). Survived by his three children, Susan (John), Philip, and Regan (Linda), five grandchildren, Clare (Jimmy), Kristen (Iain), Kara, Marianna, and Rebecca (Anthony), and two great-grandchildren, Anders and Astrid, as well as many family members in Germany. Oswald and Ann met in Canada and married in 1955; they celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage together in 2015. Together in their new home they created a family surrounded by love and never failed in appreciating the beauty in the lives they led. Oswald worked hard to support his family and enjoyed a happy retirement tending his beautiful garden and spending time with family and friends in the home he and Ann had always envisioned. He will be remembered always as a gentleman and devoted family man who lived life with integrity and a quiet charm. We love you, Opi, and we will miss you dearly. A private service will be held.
