Obituary of Peter Martinus Poos

POOS, Peter Martinus Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at McNally House on Thursday, September 8, 2016, in his 84th year. Devoted husband and true love of “Annie” for 58 years. Loving father of daughter Maryann and her husband Dave Hughes, and daughter Michelle Anderson. Proud Opa to his “4 diamonds”, Jennifer, Melissa, Jacob and Blake. Peter will also be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters along with many nieces and nephews in Canada, Holland and the United States. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at McNally House Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Peter and his family. As per Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday, September 11 from 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 12 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to McNally House Hospice or the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family.
