Obituary of Marjorie Lavery

LAVERY, Marjorie It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie on July 11, 2016 in her 96th year. All who knew her were touched by her independence, strength, positive attitude and her kindness and devotion to her family. She was predeceased by her husband Bill (2001) daughter Kathy (1987) and son-in-law Ed Kerr(2001). Loving mom to Gary (Donna). Affectionately remembered as Grandma by eight grandchildren, Holly (Paul), Heather (Scott), Kelly (Jason), Nicole (Tim), Lindsey (Mike), Daniel (Crystal), Adam and Michael. Also adored and loved by her eight great- grandchildren Lauren, Mabel, Grace, Will, Miles, Paige, Audrey and Connor. Marjorie was the sister of the late Mary Jones, John McGrath and Ken Stevens. Will be missed by her friend and sister-in-law Rita Lavery. Marge will be remembered as a woman of faith, courage, grace, an avid reader, knitter and gardener. She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took an interest in all of their everyday news and accomplishments. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
