Obituary of Opal Lowden

LOWDEN, Opal Irene (nee McCullagh) Peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016, surrounded by her family, Opie passed away at St. Peters Hospice in her 77th year. Loving wife of Bob, mother to Don and Denise, Donna and Dennis Wark. Proud Mamma to her “whirly girlies” Tilly and Allie and honourary Mamma to many. Loving grandma to Tracy and her boys. Will also be greatly missed by her brother Stan and Beth McCullagh. We would like to thank the Staff from Juravinski Cancer Centre, St. Peters Hospice and the rest of our Palliative Care Team for their compassion and guidance. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, April 16 from 1 p.m. until the Celebration of Opal’s Life at 2:30 p.m. Interment to take place on Monday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. at Binbrook United Church Cemetery.
