Obituary of John Ivanco

IVANCO, John Peacefully passed away at his home in Binbrook, on Friday, April 8, 2016, in his 88th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Pat. Loving father of Chris and Denis Gibbons, Don and Erika, Bob and Sharon. Cherished grandfather of Nathan, Sarah and Skeeter. Dear brother of Michael and Helen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was retired from Stelco after 37 years of service. John was an avid golfer who was 4 time Senior Golf Champion at Twenty Valley Golf Club, he was in the Canadian Seniors Championships 8 times and was a Member of Southbrook Golf and Country Club. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, April 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of his life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 14 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Glanbrook Home Support, would be appreciated by the family.
