Obituary of David Henry Swayze

SWAYZE, David Henry 1940 - 2016 Our family is saddened to announce the passing of David on February 13th, son of Robert and Elise Swayze and son-in-law of Charles and Marie Kott. He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Susan, adored children Gary and Janet (Stephen Knight) and cherished grandchildren Jason, Joel and Alexandra, and loved brother Arthur (Joan). He was a devoted brother-in-law to Mike (Lila) Kott, Cathy (John) Darling, Tom (Joan) Kott and Tim Kott, cousin Larry Tournay, and the Swayze-Kott extended families. He was a valued friend to many, a man of many talents having designed and built his home in Binbrook where he lived with Sue almost 50 years. He was a skilled machinist having retired from Grimsby Custom Machine. He was a supportive and active hockey grandpa watching Jason and Joel play. He was an active member of Binbrook United Church serving as an elder, singing in the choir and helping at all the church functions. We thank the oncologist team at the Juravinski Centre and nurse Raman during his last few weeks. A celebration of Dave's life will take place at Binbrook United Church on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to Binbrook United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
