Obituary of Ross Douglas Holman

HOLMAN, Ross Douglas It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ross in his 74th year. Loving husband of Sharron for over 50 years. Dear father of Christine (Jason) and Andrew (Marci), as well as his two grand-puppies Sadie and Maisy. Predeceased by his parents Helen and Doug. Ross survived by his sisters-in-law Arlene (the late Kerry), Gail (George), and Judy (the late Jim), and is predeceased by his brother-in-law David Herman. Ross will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was retired from Dofasco, where he worked for over 31 years. Ross was a proud member of the Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622 and a past Beaver Leader. Ross also enjoyed many trips with Sharron, including to the Bahamas and Cancun, and also looked forward to many summers at his trailer on Highland Pines Campground in Fergus. The family would like to thank Dr. Weatherdon and nurse Kathy, the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital C-Ward, especially Tina, for their compassionate care of Ross during his stay. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Ross’s life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 345 Highway No. 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton.
