Obituary of Larry Earl Woods

WOODS, Larry Earl Amazing husband, father, son, brother, friend, aviator, sailor and Olympian, teacher, builder, hockey player, financial analyst, and all-around tremendous human being. After living a life full of more adventures than most people could dream of, Larry peacefully took his "final flight" surrounded by family, on January 16, 2016, at the youthful age of 76. He will be remembered, admired and forever loved by his adored wife Elizabeth, and his cherished offspring Larry (Krystine), Todd (Tanya), Julie (Darryl Timko), and Andrew (Alexandra). He will also be dearly missed by his beautiful grandchildren Camryn, Tommy, Taylor, Ryan, Claire, and James, his brother and best friend Art (Johanne), his sweetheart sister Dale, many extended family members and dozens of valued friends. As one of these friends said, "Godspeed Larry Woods, you have been promoted." Visitation will take place at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home in Stoney Creek on Friday, January 22, from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 23, from 12-2 p.m., immediately followed by a Memorial Service.
