A very dear and lifelong friend of our family. My mom has known her for over 66 years!!! Before they each were married, before kids and after both of their husbands (also best friends) passed away. Having no cousins and very few aunts and uncles she was like an aunt to us. Aunt Marie will be missed by all of us.

Dear Randy and family. It is with great sadness that we heard the passing of Aunt Marie Jeanne. She was the last surviving member of the Laferriere dynasty. I was fortunate to visit with her on Xmas eve,.prior to our departure for Florida and what a joy it was. Her laughter and joy of life will never be forgotten. Our prayers and our thoughts are with you. Our sympathies to you, your family, Bruce and all the grandchildren. May she rest in peace.

Dear Family, I had the pleasure of spending Friday mornings with Marie line dancing at Warden Park senior club. She was a always a welcome addition to the dance floor and often had a humorous story to share. As I would be packing up to leave I enjoyed watching her get her nutritious lunch readied so she would be all set for a game of euchre in the afternoon. She was a courageous woman who surmounted illness and heartbreak to live every moment. We will miss her on and off the dance floor. May she rest in peace. I met Marie at the Warden Park Seniors Club where we played cards. She generously made the effort to teach me to play Bid Euchre , and when the opportunity arose , I so enjoyed having her as my partner. Her wit , sparkle , and joie de vivre will be sadly missed .
