Obituary of Blanche Jean Doyle

DOYLE, Blanche Jean Sadly, we announce the passing of Blanche, peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Court of Rushdale Retirement Home in her 102nd year. Predeceased by her dear husband Owen Doyle. Much loved mother of Barbara (Robert) Pfannstiel, Brian (Pamela) Doyle. Cherished grandmother of Lisa (Aaron), Laurie (Dalibor), Kwee (Frank) and great-grandmother of Tyler, Connor, Carson, Maelle, Lachlan, Quentin and Mikaih. Survived by her sister Antoinette. She will be missed by her good friend Marion and all of her friends at Rushdale. Blanche always took great pride in her appearance and kept her home in immaculate condition. She was sharp minded, had a love for people and looked forward to playing Bingo and card games. She enjoyed reading the newspaper and keeping up-to-date on the latest news. Blanche always said that laughter kept her young. Special thank you to the staff of Rushdale for all of their attention and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Good Shepherd would be appreciated.
