Obituary of Charles Wendell Haines

HAINES, Charles Wendell On December 23rd after a short battle with pancreatic cancer and during the full moon of the winter solstice, surrounded by and holding the hands of the people he loved most: his family, Dad took his last breath and began his journey into the next realm. Dad was predeceased by his Grand-daughter, Suzie, his loving wife and keeper, Barbara and his son Keith. Dad requested that we wish you; all of our friends and family a very Merry Christmas on his behalf and to say that he is sorry (typical Canadian!) if his passing puts a downer on anyone's Christmas plans. Dad requests that you hug your loved ones often, to keep him in your thoughts and, maybe, say a prayer for him this Christmas. Cremation has taken place and a proper memorial service for Dad will be arranged for June 2016 at Pioneer Memorial United Church in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the CHML Children's Fund Christmas Tree of Hope campaign and/or the Nurse's station at F4 in the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.
