Obituary of Sarah (Bernice) Speck

SPECK, Sarah (Bernice) - Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Friday, November 20, 2015, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Arthur Speck. Loved mother of Jeff (Janine), Bruce (Cindy) and Sharon (Bill Reichheld). Loving grandmother of Shane (Melanie), Joshua, Brandi (Brian), Cody, Taylor (Stephanie), Melissa and Lauren. Loved great-grandmother of Autumn, Alexis, Malachi, Cohen, Carter and Jayden. Dear sister of David (Shirley), Ruth, John (Ishbel) and Jim (Ruth). Predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law Shirley (Bob). Bernice was Executive Director of the Hamilton and District Literacy Council for many years. She enjoyed the company of her euchre ladies. Special thanks to Dr. Dominic and the entire staff on F5 at the Juravinski Hospital and to D.A.R.T.S for their assistance over the years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1 p.m. In Bernice’s memory, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
