I was shocked and saddened to learn of Sheila's passing. She was a cherished colleague and mentor; and a generous, genuine and gentle soul who had the gift to always see the best in everyone no matter the circumstance. My condolences to Ron and the rest of Sheila's family. She left us much too soon. xo

Sheila was a tremendous friend, confidant, and mentor to me. We worked on many health and safety projects and initiatives when we worked together at McMaster. We kept in touch after her retirement and always had something to laugh about. I am so saddened by her loss. I will miss her guidance, wisdom and encouragement. My heart aches as I know it does for Ron and her cherished family. I love you Sheila. I wish we could had one more Tims` coffee together.

I was fortunate enough to work with Sheila @ Mac for the better part of 8 years. She had a profound impact on me like she did with so many others.... Sheila was key in teaching me about the ins and outs of University work life... As departmental colleagues, I could always look to Sheila for steadfast advise on a sticky situation, or a good chuckle in a tough time... Sheila was never afraid of putting the time and energy into getting a job done. She was a really great friend to me.... Always loved our many chats on so many topics... Thoughts are with Ron and the family......RIP

I learned of Sheila's passing Saturday, through a retiree from long ago - I was shocked. I liked Sheila and we had many encounters over the years we worked together - Most of which I remember her smiling and laughing, though rarely did the situation warrant such emotion - but that was one of the reasons Sheila was liked so much by so many! My condolences to Ron and her family, she will be missed by many - Most of whom; you perhaps will never know. Be assured you and Sheila are in the thoughts of many as you go through this difficult period.

My sincere condolences to the family. I worked with Sheila prior to her retirement and I learned a lot from her and will never forget all the thoughtful things she did. She was a pleasure to work with and someone I will never forget. I will keep her and the family in my thoughts and prayers.
