Isaiah 26 New International Version (NIV)
A Song of Praise
26 In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
We have a strong city;
God makes salvation
its walls and ramparts.
2 Open the gates
that the righteous nation may enter,
the nation that keeps faith.
3 You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
5 He humbles those who dwell on high,
he lays the lofty city low;
he levels it to the ground
and casts it down to the dust.
6 Feet trample it down—
the feet of the oppressed,
the footsteps of the poor.
7 The path of the righteous is level;
you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth.
8 Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,[a]
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts.
9 My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness.
10 But when grace is shown to the wicked,
they do not learn righteousness;
even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil
and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.
11 Lord, your hand is lifted high,
but they do not see it.
Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame;
let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.
12 Lord, you establish peace for us;
all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
13 Lord our God, other lords besides you have ruled over us,
but your name alone do we honor.
14 They are now dead, they live no more;
their spirits do not rise.
You punished them and brought them to ruin;
you wiped out all memory of them.
15 You have enlarged the nation, Lord;
you have enlarged the nation.
You have gained glory for yourself;
you have extended all the borders of the land.
16 Lord, they came to you in their distress;
when you disciplined them,
they could barely whisper a prayer.[b]
17 As a pregnant woman about to give birth
writhes and cries out in her pain,
so were we in your presence, Lord.
18 We were with child, we writhed in labor,
but we gave birth to wind.
We have not brought salvation to the earth,
and the people of the world have not come to life.
19 But your dead will live, Lord;
their bodies will rise—
let those who dwell in the dust
wake up and shout for joy—
your dew is like the dew of the morning;
the earth will give birth to her dead.
20 Go, my people, enter your rooms
and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.
21 See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling
to punish the people of the earth for their sins.
The earth will disclose the blood shed on it;
the earth will conceal its slain no longer.

Dear family of our dear Brother in the Lord - Stan.
He supplied Triangle Die & Tool Co.Ltd. in St.Catharines with Neon lights for many years.
The wonderful conversations in person or by email will always be treasured.
A man full of the Joy of the Lord, witnessing of His and our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our condolences to the family, we just heard recently about his passing when placing an order.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.Revelation 14, 13
Will be sending in a Donation to the Gideons, what a wonderful way to continue to spread the Good News.
Until we meet in Glory,

Dear family members,
I have just found out today, January 20, 2016 that my dear friend Stanley Whittaker has gone to his real home on high. Although very sadden at the news I learned today, I know he is in a far better place. He was a wonderful man serving the Lord so diligently and graciously. Many lives were changed because of his Christian influence. I am myself, a better person for knowing and working with him. He will be missed here on earth but oh what a reunion it will be one day.

I met Rev. Stanley Whittaker in the spring of 2014 in one of his many earthly offices, his lighting store, Yorkshire Lighting on Wentworth Street near Main St. I was born and raised in Hamilton and I always remember his lighting store from as far back as I can remember, but it wasn't until many decades later that I finally stepped inside. I was innocently shopping for a floor lamp; but instead, I walked out that day carrying "the lamp", a (Gideon) bible. I suppose that the dear reverend and devout believer could see that a floor lamp was the least of my needs that day. He saw something that I couldn't even see myself. I remember that he took very little time in striking up a conversation with me about Jesus. Many people have 'witnessed' to me over the years prior to this moment, but no one quite captivated my attention like this warm, joyful fellow. I cannot imagine that anyone whose path he has crossed over the years could miss the light that shone about him and the joy that beamed from those bright, blue eyes.
Stanley Whittaker was a man with a heart for God and the joy of the Lord was ever present on his face. Just six months later, thanks to that encounter and a couple of more witnesses that God would send my way, (and of course, that precious bible) I too, surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus Christ on September 14, 2014. The Lord Jesus delivered me from a life of quiet desperation and filled that void deep inside that could, otherwise never be filled. How could I ever repay, Mr. Whittaker for such an incredible gift as to share the good news of salvation with me? I can't, really. But I can share this little story and add it to the countless testimonies of how this man from England came to this little steel town and provided the people of this city, both literally and figuratively, with a lighthouse of hope and joy for many years.
My deepest, sincerest condolences and prayers are with you: his cherished wife, family, friends, acquaintances and 'won souls' scattered throughout this city due to Rev. Whittaker's many years of service in various Gospel sharing ministries.
Thank you, Lord for your grace and tender mercies and thank you for blessing me with that fateful encounter with Rev. Whittaker before you called him home. Due to his great love and devotion to You, I too now live "in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began" (Titus 1:2 KJV)
Rest in peace, my dear brother in Christ.
