Obituary of Shirley Brooker

BROOKER, Shirley Surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Juravinski Hospital, Shirl peacefully passed away. Sweetheart of her husband Clyde of 67 years. Loving mother of Bruce (Carrie), Brenda (Rob Johnston), Brad (LuAnn). Cherished grandmother of Jeff, David (Tiff), Steven (Lana), Neal (Ingrid), Anya (Sean). Dear sister-in-law of Harold (Judith) and Don. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends. Shirl was an active member of the RBG Auxiliary for over 50 years and a long-time member of Pioneer Memorial United Church. She was passionate about gardening and flower arranging and enjoyed the view of her beautiful garden from her sunroom. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice or the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
