Dear Joanne and family. My deepest sympathies. It was a honor to have John as a friend! He always had a smile and ready to give a helping hand to anybody especially me. I remember years ago, he took me down to his ham shack. There are many good memories that I had with him which enriched my life. I think everyone who knew your husband and dad/granddad can say the same thing! Just know that he is enjoying Jesus now and enjoying heaven! All of my love. I came to know John a few years ago when I did a visit to Canada and stayed at WEC and John took me to a Linux User's group meeting in Hamilton university. I remember John as a kind man and am sad to hear that he has passed away. I am sure he's in a much better place now!

So sorry for your loss. I remember going to Hamfest with the family back 35+ years ago. What a great memory. Our youngest slept in a cradle he made. Ome Jan was a great fountain of technological info and always helped My dad (the late Joe Vandenberg July 22/2015) with his computer. We will miss him. Remember the good times you had with him.
