Obituary of Owen Doyle

DOYLE, Owen Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Friday, November 18, 2011 in his 97th year. Loving husband of Blanche (nee Allain) of 72 years. Dear father of Barbara and her husband Robert Pfannstiel and Brian and his wife Pamela. Cherished grandfather of Lisa (Aaron), Laurie (Dalibor), Kwee and 5 great-grandchildren. Will be missed by his nephew Russell Doyle and his friends at Court of Rushdale. Predeceased by his 9 siblings. Owen was well liked by everyone. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness as well as his jokes, stories and creations from scratch. He spent a lot of time volunteering with the church and charities. He also enjoyed playing darts, pool, euchre and horseshoes. Special thanks to the long term care staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment Mountview Gardens.
