Our heart felt condolences to you the family. Captain Hammill was the first CO, my son had when he joined the cadet core 6 yrs ago. He welcomed him, telling him if he kept his hair cut short like it was, they'd get a long well. My son thought that was great (MWO Clark, now RSM). I have played in the Hamilton Olde Sports Slo-pitch for 13 years and I have had the pleasure of knowing John and having him as a team mate a few times. He also taught my daughter Elise how to be a good cadet, in Grimsby many years ago. A great ball player and a really nice man, we will miss him dearly.
