I am a friend of Wendy's and I live in South Carolina. I have followed Ellie as she fought this last battle with that dreaded disease of all diseases, cancer. I wish, at times like these, that I could be with you to pay my respects to one who so valiantly fought this monster on multiple occasions; yet, she never lost sight of those she loved perhaps more than her own life.l I can only tell you that many prayers have been said for her, for you, Stephen, for her children and all of the many family member for peace, comfort and healing. Today is a most special day in our traditions as Jews - it is Yom Kippur - the day of atonement. So on this day of prayer, I indeed pray that you will find comfort in her memory, love from those who stand with you, healing as you continue to remember her and shalom (peace) as only God can provide. My wish for Ellie - it is a simple but important one as she has become a most special angel. "G'mar Hatima Tova" - to Ellie - "may you be inscribed in the book of life." I hope to meet all of you in person someday, but until that time, know that I am thinking of you; you reside in my heart; and, lastly may you find peace in comfort from family and friends.
