DISTEFANO, Amalia At the Hamilton General Hospital, on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Mario. Loving mother of Teresa and Tony DiFilippo, Larry and Susan, Gina and John Teal, Adoria DiStefano and Peter McAlpine, Dominic DiStefano and Laura Upson, Steven and Joan. Dear Nonna of 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Anna and recently deceased Gino Ferrone. Predeceased by 6 siblings. Amalia will also be sadly missed by sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States and Italy. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at the Funeral Home Friday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, (Barton St. and Prospect) on Saturday, February 18th at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Burlington. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the 7th Floor West Palliative Care Team at the Hamilton General Hospital for all of their compassion and care.
