Obituary of Bernard Buckley Diggins

DIGGINS, Bernard Buckley Suddenly, at his residence on Thursday, May 31, 2012, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Marie. Loved father of Darlene (Brad) Barnes. Loved Papa of Tim (Hollie), Dennis (Cassandra), Ryan, Flynn, Monkey and Diggs, and Great-Papa of Lauren, Evan and Annabella. Dear brother of Stella Martin. Predeceased by brothers Arthur, Ralph, Roy, Eugene, Gerry and sisters Betty, Mary and Viola. Will be missed by his sisters-in-law Ada (John) Durant, Edna (John) Quenneville, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law on the east coast. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Bernie was a retired long time employee of Delmar Construction. Special thanks to the staff at the SAM East Program, and sincere thank you to the Hamilton Emergency Services for their care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Kenilworth Ave. N. and Cannon St. East, Hamilton on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
