Obituary of Clarence Joseph Massie

Peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 85th year. Devoted and loving husband of the late Eva (58 years). Cherished and loving father of Martin and his wife Kathy, Richard and his wife Debbie. Dear Papa of Kelly, Joel and his wife Christina, Brian and his wife Renay, Jason and his wife Charlene and Great-Papa of Martin, Trenton, Jordan and Emerson. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Kelly was a lifetime member of Stoney Creek Lions Club for almost 50 years, and also a member of Battlefield Optimist Club and a union member of the Hoisting Engineers since 1956. He donated many years of service to Dr. Bob Kemp as well as the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Kelly was a proud recipient of the Stoney Creek Citizen of the Year in 1999. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:30 a.m in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
