Obituary of Gerrie deJonge

deJONGE, Gerrie On December 21, 2008 at the Brantford General Hospital in her 80th year. Gerrie has left us to join her husband Izaak in the house of the Lord. They will be lovingly remembered by their children Martin, Ron (Theresa), Christina (Ken), Gerrit (Ellen) and Paul. Also remaining are their grandchildren Wanda, John, Wendy and Amanda, Tiffanie and Brent, Rob and Missie, and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Johanna, Diny, George, Erna, Annie, Wilma and Bill and many brothers and sisters in law. Predeceased by parents Gerrit Sloetjes and Drika Bernarda Frieson, brothers Derk and Herman and sister Hannah. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom had a special place in her heart. Friends will be received by the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:30pm. Interment to follow at Tapleytown Cemetery. Donations to the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Ward or the Bethel Park Bible Chapel in Brantford would be appreciated by the family.
