Obituary of Gerke Piersma

Peacefully at Shalom Manor on March 13, 2015 Gerke went home to his Lord and Saviour. He leaves behind his wife Toni (nee Amama) of 45 years. Father of Peter (Janet), Art, John Godwaldt (Krista), Joe Godwaldt (Deb), Ron Godwaldt (Nancy) and Rob Godwaldt (Liz). Gerke was a grandfather to eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Jenny (the late John), Tina (the late Joe), Tom and the late Obbe. Predeceased by his first wife Fetje Siderius and son Harvey (Glenda). Brother-in-law to John Amama (Henny), Ina Spekkers (Jerry), Ruud Amama, Robert Amama (Elizabeth) and the late Tilda Wachtersveld (Jan). A private family interment service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 621 Hwy #8, Fruitland followed by a luncheon.
