Obituary of Kathleen Carey

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83 years at the Juravinski Hospital on January 27, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Allan Carey. Loving mother of Marie Blain (Alfred), Dorothy York, the late Theresa DeLong, Brenda Gownlock, Wendell DeLong (Norma), Caroline Henley and Roger Long. Cherished grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Kay will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends of the family. She is predeceased by many brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff on the Orthopedic Surgery floor at the Juravinski Hospital. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
