Obituary of Thelma Aikins

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in her 93rd year. Cherished wife of the late Lloyd Aikins. Dear loved mother of Ilene Durant (predeceased by her son-in-law Gary Durant). Loving grandmother of Kelly Poworoznyk (Harry), Lori Bock (Tony) and predeceased January 1, 2015 by Dale Durant. Proud Nana (great-grandmother) to Courtney Walychuck (Jordan), Gregory Poworoznyk, Rachel and Alexander Bock. Great-great-grandmother to Jordan, Ayden and Emery. She was a loving lady and a talented quilt maker and donated many of her works to those less fortunate. Private family service will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Dive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, January 22, 2015. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Willowgrove for their compassion during this difficult time.
