Obituary of William (Bill) Whitney Price Dawson

DAWSON, William Whitney Price (Bill) At his residence in Stoney Creek, on Monday, April 5, 2010 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Teresa (Terry) for 64 years. Beloved father of Ron and his wife Jan and Debbie and her husband Bill Klemp. Loving grandfather of Pam, Lori, Paula and her husband Aren White and Brad and his wife Megan and great-grandfather of Nolan, Evan and Liana. Dear brother-in-law of John Engersbach and his wife Chris. Predeceased by his parents William and Marion Dawson and by his brothers Tom and Sam and by his sister Kay. Bill was a WWII veteran serving with the RCAF 115 Squadron as a tail gunner on the Lancaster Bombers. He was proud to demonstrate his experiences to his family by a personal tour of the “Lanc” at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum two years ago. The family thanks the museum for this memorable opportunity and treasured photos of that day. Bill was a retired employee of Procter and Gamble after 35 years of service. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, April 18 from 2-5 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, April 19 at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Binbrook United Church Cemetery.
