Obituary of Robert McBride
It is with heavy hearts we, Bob’s sons Brent (Maria) and Glen (Yvonne) and the daughter he never had, of his heart, Debbie Connon along with Bob’s soul mate and wife Jackie is announcing the passing of our loved one Bob McBride on January 6, 2015 peacefully at the General Hospital. Bob was a proud grandfather of Kyle, Amanda, Nathan, and Stephanie, and of his new great-grandson Benjamin Mason McBride son of Kyle and Gillian. Loving brother of Nina (Robertson), May (Stonehouse), Fay (Bierd), and Grace (Meloche). Bob will be missed by all nieces, nephews, cousins, and all his extended family and friends who he loved as his own. Bob worked at Dofasco for 30 years in the Cold Roll Inspection Department as a shift foreman and loved his job and the people he worked with. I want to thank everyone that works the downstairs floor at the Clarion Nursing Home. All you girls are wonderful, caring, and loving people. (you too Kevin). You all gave Bobs life a sense of meaning with all the care, trips, dinners, laughter and pure love you filled him and me with. The love and generosity you left in our lives and our hearts will never be forgotten. We will carry you with us throughout our lives. God bless you and carry you home till we meet again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Jackie. There will be a gathering for family and friends at Stoney Creek United Church at 1 King St West, Stoney Creek, on Monday. January 12, 2015 from 4 p.m. til 6 p.m. The family asks that donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation be made in lieu of flowers.
