Obituary of Walter Donald Slapinski

Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Friday, January 2, 2015, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Margaret. Loving father of David, Valerie Stevenson and her husband Mark and Lisa Slapinski. Dear papa of Mark, Jaclyn, Oliver, Rachel and Victoria. Dear brother of Alixe Leisen and Lorry Didtrek and predeceased by Frank Slapinski, Helen Sonzena, Nellie Lintack and Reggie Didtrek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Tuesday at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
