Obituary of Glenda Shaunne Dailey

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Glenda at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, November 21, 2014 due to complications of COPD. She was in her 57th year. Glenda will be sorely missed by her cherished high school sweetheart, best friend and loving husband John of 37 years. She was our soul mate, best friend, and the best mom in the entire world and will be painfully missed by her two daughters, Kaila and Lauren (Andrew). Glenda was a beloved daughter to Erma and to the late Vaughan Joudrey. She is also predeceased by mother-in-laws Marion (Maisie) Dailey and Marion Tunstall. Loving sister to Cathy Fleming (Donald), Nancy Pereira (Joe), Sandra Whitman (Walter), Carolyn Hutchings (Wesley), Doug Joudrey (Lynda), and Danny Joudrey (Joanne). Cherished sister-in-law to Rob (Jo) Tunstall, David Tunstall, and Kathleen Dailey. Glenda was a favourite aunt and second mom to many nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. The Dailey family would like to extend a special thank you to our wonderful neighbours who we know as our extended family, especially Ruth and Dave Utter, Anita and Mike Maisonville, Kosmo, Pat Irish and family, Pat and Craig McInnes, and Leanne, Jack and Aggie White, and to her dear friends Charlotte Rekrut and Kim Worobel for their continuous love, support and comfort during this extremely difficult time. A special thank you to the Third Floor ICU East staff at the Hamilton General Hospital, especially Ravi and Steph, for their care and compassion to the entire family during Glenda’s stay.
