Obituary of Marie Swan

(1941-2014) It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Marie Predeceased by her devoted husband Ronald. Loving mother of Nancy Rielly (Don) and Kathy (Sean) Demarce. Cherished Nana to Miss Emily. Dear sister to Richard Nielsen (Gloria), Karen Swackhammer (Warren), Ralph Nielsen (Linda), Lynda Neville (Jerry), David Nielsen (Debra) and Doug Nielsen (Janice) and sister- in- law to Ruth (Fred) Bishop, Robert (Lenore) Swan and predeceased by Lillian. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Marie enjoyed her retirement from Wal-mart by travelling, crocheting hats for the Juravinski Cancer Centre and enjoying life to the fullest with her family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of her Life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
