Obituary of Joseph Reay Duke

Passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Grimsby surrounded by his loving family. Cherished husband of Jean for over 70 years. Beloved father of James (Isabel), Thomas (Pauline), Ruth (Matthew) and the late David. Loving Papa of Emily, Peter, Billie-Jean, Ian, David, Elaine, Emily, Franki and the late Jesse. Great Grandpa of Heather, Elizabeth and Lucia. Rev. Duke was blessed to be a minister in many different communities and was privileged to retire from St. John’s Presbyterian Church in September 1986. After his retirement, he served as Interim Moderator at Roxborough Park Church. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 10 Mountain Street in Grimsby on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
