Obituary of Mary Dunlop Nunn

1927-2014. With heavy hearts and loving memories our family announces the passing of our wonderful mom on Friday, November 7, 2014, at Macassa Lodge L.T.C. after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease (MSA). Predeceased by her dearly loved husband of 58 years Lloyd. Devoted and cherished mother of Kathryn (Bob) Newman, Bill, Tom (Cathy) and Christy (Shawn) Baltzer. Caring grandmother of Scott (Angie), Allison (David), Kate (Stuart), Jamie (Danielle), Rebecca (David), Holly, Meagan, Jacob, Noah and Abbie. Great-grandmother to Molly, Connor, Lewis, Flora, Maeve, Cora, Lucy, Austin, Lillian, Emma, Nolan. Mary was born in Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland to the late Joseph and Agnes McCulloch. Loving sister of Bill (Shirley) McCulloch, Jim (Marilyn) McCulloch and Eileen Wilmot (late Bob). Predeceased by her sister Margaret. Mary was a very generous person who loved everyone. She enjoyed happy and loving times spent with many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Mary worked as a Bell Telephone operator for 24 years, was a member of St. David’s United Church for over 50 years, and attended St. Columba Presbyterian Church, as a member of the UCW, ladies guild and WMS. Honorary member of the Hamilton Skating Club and belonged to the CN Pensioners. She was loved by all and we will miss her. The family will receive friends at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, November 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Columba Presbyterian Church, 1540 Main Street East, Hamilton on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. Rev. Sonia Ireson officiating. Interment Mountview Gardens, Stoney Creek. Sincere thanks to Dr. Gordon Fulthorpe for his kind gentle care and to Macassa Lodge for their support and care.
