Obituary of Grace Duffield

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Grace surrounded by her loving family, at St. Joseph’s hospital on October 27, 2014 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of 63 years to Fred (deceased) and beloved mother of Fred Duffield Jr (deceased), Robert (Bob) and his wife Marg, Ron and his wife Mary. Cherished grandmother to Kaona. Predeceased by sisters Ann and Dorothy and her brother Hayden and his wife Marion. Grace was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Grace during her recent hospitalizations. We would also like to thank the nurses of Bayshore Home Health (especially Donna and Sandy) and the PSWs from CBI Home Health (especially Minti) for the home care provided to Grace over the last few years. Special thanks to Grace’s CCAC case managers Sheila and Wendy and her family physician Dr. Ayeni. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 1 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
