Obituary of Norman Prowse

Throughout his fight with the dreaded C word, Norm was strong and positive. Out living the expected time frame four times over, surprising his doctors at every turn, showing his grandchildren what it means to be brave and strong and not take no for an answer. We are so very proud of this man that means the world to us and who we love like no other. He had a presence that people responded to, a sense of humour that was contagious, a strength that we relied on and was, without doubt, the most headstrong man we have ever known. Devoted to his family, Norm was best friend, husband and soul mate to Lisa Wedge for over 37 years; a loving Father to Angela Acciaccaferro and her husband John, Nicole Walencik and her husband Glen; an adoring Gramps to Julia, Ayslin, Zach, Jake and Alex. Brotherly love and loss is felt by Lyle (Lynn), Bryan (Jackie), John (Peggy), sister-in-law Tracey Gamble (Warren) and their families. Previously deceased by his parents, Charlie and Ebba. A deep void will always be felt by his entire family and friends. His pain has now become ours. At Norm’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Legion, 12 King St E, Stoney Creek, ON L8G 1J8, November 8, 2014, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated and we send heartfelt thanks to Norm’s team of Doctors.
