Obituary of Mary Margaret Shantz

Mary (nee Hill), born and raised in Dundas, Ontario, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Monday, October 13, 2014, exactly 2 months short of her 95th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Hugh B. Shantz (1921-1992). Devoted mother of Douglas and his wife Heather of Calgary, Jane of Stoney Creek, Brian and his wife Grace of Hamilton. Cherished Nana of Amy, Jenny, Rebecca, Mary-Ann (James), Scott (Coreen), Matthew (Emily), David (Carolyn), Peter, Gavin and great-grandchildren Caleb, Boston, Charlotte, Hudson, Walker, George and Hannah. Dear sister of Ruth Haig of Midland and the late Lorna Hill (1996). Mary was a well loved resident of Ridgeview LTC for the past 3 years. The family extends their sincere thanks to the caring staff. Friends will be received at Paramount Alliance Church, 1035 Paramount Dr., Stoney Creek, on Thursday, October 16, 2014 for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
