Obituary of Frederick Edward Jacobson

At Emmanuel House, Hamilton, on Sunday, October 5, 2014, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Linda for 45 years. Loving father of Tanya and Steven Darby and Kris and Leigh Ann Jacobson. Cherished grandfather of Conhaire, Kathryn, Griffin and Hayden. Dear brother of Lillian Spanton (Charlie), Betty Skippen (Bob) and Ken. Predeceased by Carl, Gord and Noreen. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Fred was an active supporter of the Hamilton Lacrosse Association for many years as well as a supporter of local youth sports in general. Special thanks to Doctors Hotte and Hodson and to the staff of Emmanuel House for all of their compassion and care. Cremation has taken place, Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. A graveside Funeral Service will be held at Woodland Cemetery on Friday, October 10 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated by the family.
