Obituary of Geraldine Bird

Peacefully at Idlewyld Manor in her 98th year on September 25, 2014. Predeceased by her husband Jim. Jim and Gerry enjoyed 70 years of marriage before his passing in 2007. Also predeceased by two grandsons Donald, son of Barbara and David and David, son of Jim and Bev. Mom is survived by two children Jim (Bev) and Barbara Page (David), by six grandchildren Brian, Jim (Lydia), Glenn (Iva), Karen (Guy), Carolyn (Alex), Jason and ten great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Jack Crump of Hamilton. Mom is predeceased by her sisters Jessie and Helen and her brother Bill. The family would especially like to thank the kind and caring staff at Idlewyld Manor, especially those of the Spruceview Residence for making Mom’s last years so pleasant. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
