Alison, born in Glasgow, Scotland, on April 26, 1942, peacefully passed away, at Shalom Manor, on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Beloved wife, of John. Loving mother, of David (Angela), and Eleanor Burdick (Jeff). Proud grandma, of Joshua, John, and Jacob. Predeceased by her parents, David, and Ida Buist, and her sister, Margaret Buist, of Scotland. Sister, of Christine Brown, and the late Robbie Brown, of Scotland. Alison will also be missed by her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends in Canada, Scotland, England, and the U.S.A. Alison was a retired, devoted employee of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board for 32 years. She bravely faced all challenges that life presented, with unwavering grace, and dignity. Her greatest joy was her loving family. Memories of Alison’s beautiful voice shall never fade. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Shalom Manor, for their care and compassion, and also to the staff at Grimsby Memorial and St. Peter’s Hospitals for their attentive care.
