Obituary of William Best

Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Friday September 12, 2014 in his 92nd year. Longtime Stoney Creek resident, Bill/Grampa/Dad, will be missed greatly by his family and friends, and already has been by the love of his life, best friend and wife of nearly 69 years, Jean (Losee). Devoted father of John (Gail), Gary and Dave (Carol). Grandfather of Andrew, Addison, Doug and Scott. All who knew Bill will miss seeing him smoking some cherished pipe, walking a coddled dog , working on some project at the Haliburton cottage, watching curling whenever he could or talking politics. A long time member and supporter of local groups (Men’s Club, Masons, Glendale Curling), Bill was always quick with a smile, quicker with a thought, and is already missed.
