Obituary of Stella Florence Pegg

Passed peacefully in her sleep at Extendicare Hamilton Long Term Care, in her 87th year. Survived by her beloved husband Ronald, son Richard, daughter Barbara, grandchildren Erica and Kyle (Lisa), and was soon to be a great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Anne Marie and sister-in-law Mae Popynick. Stella is predeceased by brothers William, Michael, Stanley, and Roy. Also predeceased by sisters Anne (Arthur) Somerleigh, Beatrice (Stephen) Kudrenski, and Sophie (Howard) Goodale. Her gentle spirit and loving smile always lit up a room as she bravely battled Alzheimer’s Disease for six years. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, staff, and recreation personnel at Extendicare Hamilton for their care of Stella during her stay. As per Stella’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurment to take place on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek, at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Residents Council at Extendicare Hamilton Long Term Care facility or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
