Obituary of Harry Parke Donald

It is with deep sadness that we announce his passing on August 29, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Harry was born on June 16, 1917 in Hamilton. Married (July 25, 1944) for 70 years to Isabel (Gow). He will be greatly missed by son Rob/Bob his wife Pat and daughter Ruth (Mitchell). Loving Grandfather (Ba/Zat) to Amber, Becky, Nicole and Caitlin. Proud Great-Grandfather to Alex, Ava, Cole and Sawyer children of Nicole and Kris Colterman. Also Lilly daughter of Amber and Zahir Badsha. Harry and Belle were longtime residents of Binbrook and spent their later years in Stoney Creek. One of the greatest joys in his life were the summers spent at their cottage at 79 Cameron Lane, Bruce Beach, Lake Huron. We want to thank the cottage neighbours who spent the time to both call, write and most importantly visit him. A loving thank you also to Hal and Cathy Hillgren who rarely missed visiting him on Thursday evenings, you truly did brighten his days. Thank you also to the staff at St. Peter’s Palliative Care and Jana his wonderful PSW. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
